Learn Simple Guitar Songs

If you are looking for some simple guitar songs to start your repertoire as a guitar player, I will try and point you in the right direction. You probably decided to learn to play the guitar so you could play the songs you like, and it is quite possible that you will be able to learn the basics of guitar playing using some of your favorites. But you need to start with simple guitar songs so that learning to strum the strings and change chords will not be too stressful.

So before you can play any songs at all you need to understand what learning to play the guitar involves. On your first day as the owner of a guitar you should be able to name the parts of the guitar, have some idea of how to change the guitar strings and know how to tune your guitar. You could look at finding bands whose songs are usually quite simple to play. Greenday is one band that springs to mind. You could attempt Time Of Your Life even though it does make use of finger style guitar techniques.
